Radiation Chemistry Gordon Research Conference

Author: Laura Mortlock

NDRL faculty member Jay LaVerne chaired the 2014 Gordon Research Conference on Radiation Chemistry, this year subtitled “Radiation Driven Processes in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Industry”. Reflecting this heading, the meeting featured presentations ranging from challenges facing the nuclear industry, through nanoparticles and polymers, to hadron therapy and radiation protection, in addition to key core areas such as low-energy-electrons, fast kinetics and track structure. The six “Young Investigator” presentations, including two from the NDRL, were particularly impressive.
