Graduate student Danilo Jara's recent paper, "Size-Dependent Photovoltaic Performance of CulnS2 Quantum Dot-Sensitized Solar Cells," published in the December issue of Chemistry of Materials, was used for the issue's cover art. The work focused in synthesis and characterization of CulnS2 quantum dots with pyramidal shape, which display size-dependent photovoltaic performance. The origin of the photocurrent was found to arise from defect states, and an optimal size was identified based on charge stabilization.
